Amanzimtoti Christian Centre is the culmination of seeking the Lords purpose in prayer, faith and obedience. We have over the past few years, walked a path of church planting and have trusted God to lead, teach and equip us for His work that now lies ahead. It is when a person comes to a place of total submission to the Lordship of Jesus Christ that His purpose and plan can take first place and priority in life.
The Pharisee Gamaliel addressed the Sanedrin, concerning Paul and the Apostles in the following manner:
Ac 5:38 Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail.
Ac 5:39 But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.” As we see, God always looks at, and examines the motive of a mans heart.
1Thes. 2:4 On the contrary, we speak as men approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please men but God, who tests our hearts.
After spending 3 years ministering in squatter camps and serving as the lay pastor at a homeless shelter, the Lord led me up to serve Jarrod Davidoff and his team at Save The World Foundation for two years. Being trained as an evangelist was a dream come true and I have carried that passion and gratitude ever since.
As members of Littlefalls Christian Centre we had the wonderful opportunity to experienced church planting and growth first hand at Johannesburg Christian Centre under the leadership of Pastor Stephen Lamprecht, where we remained for two years.
In 2008 I was appointed Pastor of Krugersdorp West Christian Centre and later ordained by Pastor Harold Weitsz. With experience in evangelism and a knowledge of church planting, West Village Christian Centre was birthed at the end of 2009.
It is with this vision, passion and purpose in our hearts that we have left jobs and home to dedicate our lives to serve the Lord at Amanzimtoti Christian Centre, where we have been called to full time ministry.
The Parables of the Hidden Treasure and the Pearl
Mt 13:44 The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.
Mt 13:45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls.
Mt 13:46 When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.
We have found the hidden treasure and pearl of our calling in the word of God.
Mt 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Knowing Gods purpose and His divine design for our lives, we are commited to serving our community with the vision that He has given us.
